"I have been on a seemingly endless quest to find an appropriate education setting for my special needs son, Alec. He has attended numerous classroom environments including cross category, autistic with some limited mainstream opportunities and a home based ABA program. None of these fit his "special" needs for many reasons. I was delighted to learn that finally there was a school in Charlotte dedicated to the needs of these special children.
"Although Alec has only attended Garr for a short period of time, we already see remarkable progress with his ability to listen to directions and comply with what is asked of him (i.e., sitting during circle time and completing worksheets). He wakes up each morning excited· to be attending his "new" school.
"The ABA staff at Garr is an exceptional group of educators who clearly are working for our children's success. Their hard work, dedication and compassion are clearly shown. Our ongoing challenge is to open up this wonderful education environment to more children."

"We've been looking for a school for Abhi for a long time and we are very happy that we have found Garr. The dedication of the teachers far surpasses anything we have ever seen in other schools. They are loving, caring professionals. Abhi loves going to school and his progress has been amazing. He is beginning to calm down and is· really developing his speech! It is so wonderful to have a Christian environment available to my son. We are very happy with Garr!"

"Garr has been great for Brandon! He is responding beautifully! The public schools have proved inadequate in meeting my son's needs but the teachers at Garr have a true interest in him. Their dedication to his progress is evident. We love the teachers! We love Garr!"

"Having a Verbal Behavior program like Garr Christian Academy 's offered alongside typically developing children is imperative to autistic spectrum children. It's not about sending your child to a private school to get a better education - it is the difference between a child who can possibly function in society independently and a child who will be a dependent of the state for the rest of his or her life. These kids can learn, but it has to be done in a very particular way'''
